Segelflug Frästeilsätze
The ASK prototype with the identification D-9280 flew for the first time in December 1974. The series production totalling 40 planes ran from 1975 to 1977 with some gliders from this production lot with a 15 meter wing span being exported to Finland as a B version. [Product Details...] |
The model is to be built using our patented FrameLock® technology. For better transportation, the wings can be built in two parts. All ribs are included in the kit as precision-milled CNC parts. The spars are to be produced from 3 layers of selected fir wood. As another special feature, the spar enclosures are also CNC-milled from 3 mm plywood. They dovetail into the ribs. This “RibLock” technology developed by us enables extremely short assembly times, particularly if Superglue is used. A special building cradle is not required, a straight construction board is sufficient. [Product Details...] |

The most successful and known glider created on Schleicher designer Kurt Kaiser´s drawing board is certainly the high-performance glider Ka 6. Originally planned as Kaiser´s purely personal design, the first prototype flew in October 1955. Constant modifications eventually led to the Ka CR in 1956. The CR variant differs from its precursor models especially by its newly designed fuselage-wing transition, The version turned out to be a real great seller, of which more than 700 units were built until its production stopped in 1968. The Ka6E prototype with the identification D-4372 flew for the first time in early 1965. Series production totalling 394 planes ran from 1965 to 1972. Due to excessive costs, Messrs. Schleicher terminated the Ka 6 E production in 1977 , despite a steady demand, in favor of the ASW 15. In flight, the Ka 6 E not only proves its worth - true to the legend – by its extremely harmonious handling, but also excels as a glider particularly suited for poor weather conditions. Considered as one of the most beutiful series-produced vinatage sailplanes still today. Its swept back wings recall, in the beholder´s eye, an association with nature by their similarity with a gull´s wings, thus creating a special fascination. The Minimoa´s correct type designation is Göppingen Gö 3 “Minimoa”. The name Minimoa (wing span 17 meters) simply denotes a small Moazagotl (wing span 20 meters), from which Wolf Hirth derived the name of Minimoa. The Minimoa was one of the first gliders equipped with water tanks to improve its fast flying performance. It was, thus, indeed the first series-produced high-performance sailplane. Between its first flight in June 1935 and 30 June 1939, 100 planes were produced. Today, only four planes are still flying worldwide. [Product Details...] |
